Sims 2 update Part 2: Electric Boogaloo
Apr. 13th, 2026 06:16 pmA follow-up to my previous post, in which I explained why it's been ages since I've last played The Sims, and the various things I've been pondering to do. And yes, I'm happy to announce I've made my decision!
I don't know when it will be ready, but I'm happy to announce I'll go back to Weirdville, and this time I'll be playing three households in rotation:
This is bound to be interesting to play. Wish me luck, and pray to the computer gods that this time things will go more smoothly and last for a long time.
And now, for your enjoyment, a couple of pictures I took while setting up things earlier today:

This is going to be Nervous and Pascal's abode. I transformed my favourite Maxis lot (The Grand Estate from Apartment Life) into a disused fire station which, according to the plotline I devised, they converted into their new home.

The first thing I did when I moved them into the lot was to generate a newspaper deliverer, as experience has taght me that my game will not allow for teen NPCs to be admitted to university unless there's already one such teen in existence. I used the NPC and Townie Maker gun (which can be generated using testingcheatsenabled), which tends to use the Downtownie templates for some NPCs. Because of this, the newspaper deliverer in my previous version of Weirdville ended up wearing a mask, while this new one has the face of the Downtownie known by Juno Birch fans as Joy Despret. Because of this I immediately rushed to SimPE and changed her name because I just had to.
Anyway, as I said before, keep your fingers crossed!
I don't know when it will be ready, but I'm happy to announce I'll go back to Weirdville, and this time I'll be playing three households in rotation:
- Weird Alfred McCheese, whom I began to play in the previous iteration of Weirdville;
- Pascal Curious and Nervous Subject (Pascal is still pregnant, by the way);
- Aaaaaand... Percy Prettyface!
This is bound to be interesting to play. Wish me luck, and pray to the computer gods that this time things will go more smoothly and last for a long time.
