~*~*~*~*~*~*~

We begin with Grace fulfilling her wish to soak in the hot tub in the middle of a big snowfall.

She then joined her husband in their mutual love for studying...

...before her helicopter arrived, forcing her to change to her mayor garbs and do some work.

While she was away, Chester focused on being a good parent to all the children, from making sure the twins were fed, cleaned and comfortable, to teaching Cosmo to sing and use the potty. The potty-training skill is one that still needs to be completed, but advances were made, and gave us Chester's amazing potty face.

Eventually, Grace returned home...

...with a friend from work in tow. I think his name was Virgil, or something similar.

Grace tried to put him at ease by telling him a joke, and he was so grateful for the pleasant welcome that he immediately did some networking.

Lo and behold, it's the TV screen we lost when my game crashed last time. Thanks, Virgil!

Needless to say, I immediately saved the game, just in case - though thankfully it didn't crash this time. Better safe than sorry, though.

Bye-bye, Virgil. Come back again soon with more awesome presents.

Chester was about to flush down the contents of Cosmo's potty, but got distracted by something and threw it on the ground, where it turned into tin cans, a couple of empty boxes of wormrat feed, and a plastic cup. What on earth are we feeding that child?

Oh, so that's what distracted him. He needed to enjoy his One True Hobby with a horror film about cats.

The following morning, the baby expanded in a weird way.

Grace, on the other hand, had such an urge to eat omelets she didn't even bother to put on some clothes.

Unfortunately, neither parent though of checking their children before this, and so all three of them woke up with an uncomfortable feeling and green fumes coming out of their diapers.

Grace changed Cosmo before she left for work, and Chester decided to feed him while the twins were still crying desperately upstairs.

Something tells me the boy is the favourite child.

And now I'm wondering if that formula is to blame for the contents of his potty.

Eventually, though, Chester did change the girls and made sure they were fed and comfortable.

Grace brought along another colleague, but unfortunately this one wasn't as generous as Virgil. He also didn't stay long.

I was wondering when the Ventriloquist Teddy Bear thing would start. Thanks, Chester.

And then we received these notifications. Three birthdays at the same time. Ooh boy.

I usually set the cakes on the kitchen counters, but this time I decided it would be better to set a large table with a more festive look.

First, their favourite Cosmo.

Aww, cute! I like that outfit, but I'm not sure if it works for him so I might have them buy something else later.

Cosmo: "Oh wow, my hand is HUGE!"

He immediately ran to grab the teddy bear, just in case the twins decide to play with it later.

Cosmo: "It's mine."

Then, it was time for the twins. It looks as if I accidentally turned one of the cakes around, so the scene is no longer symmetric.

Baby twirling time!

Aww, Cindy's features look like an interesting blend of both her parents.

Claire, on the other hand, has Grace's nose with Lady Gaga's hair. That's quite a combination.

Speaking of interesting, that's one word that could be used to describe the girls' personalities. "Extreme" would be another.

Cosmo autonomously decided to talk to the baby bump.

Cosmo: "Hello, baby! Will you be green like me?"

When I set the Maxis lot for this legacy, the downstairs spare room had this beautiful wallpaper, so I decided to keep it. With Cosmo being an alien hybrid, I felt it was the perfect room for him so I added some appropriate furniture.

Apollo (Grace's grandson in [livejournal.com profile] sammyfrog's Duckling Legacy) chose this moment to call granny.

Aww.
Both interactions were 100% autonomous by the kids, and I was just lucky enough to capture them at the right moment.

Also, notice Cosmo once again grabbing the teddy.

It had been an exhausting evening, so everybody went immediately to bed.

The first thing Cosmo did when he woke up the next morning was to rush to the telescope in search of a sign of his roots - and what do you know, it's his OTH! Just look at that determined face!

Then, a series of events decided to take place at the same time. First, I sent Grace and Cosmo shopping for clothes, but I miscalculated and the school bus showed up as soon as they were preparing to leave.

And then, something else also happened. Can you guess what is was?

Chester: "Oooh ooh, I know!"

Chester: "I'M IN LABOUR! OWWWWWWWWWWW!"

I immediately cancelled the "walk to lot" action for Grace and Cosmo, and she immediately took off.

Grace: "Hold on, sweetheart! I'm coming!"

Cosmo wanted to watch, but I sent him to the bus instead.

And it's a girl! Meet Celeste, whose alien parent is the default Pollination Technician, hence why she has black hair. It looks like she has Chester's nose, though, as that's something you can tell with the default PT while they're still babies.

(By the way, Cosmo's pollinator is Colony Drone 65535, who in Maxis lore was the father of Pollination Tech 9 Smith from Strangetown - whom, incidentally, is also a potential pollinator in my PT mod.)

And Apollo called again! It's like he senses something happened with the Gieke family and he wants to be a part of it due to his connection to Grace in Sammy's game.

Seriously, I should just teleport him to the lot and set him and Grace as related - probably not as grandmother/grandson as they were originally as it would be odd here, but maybe as siblings? He seems determined to become part of the family.

As soon as Grace finished the conversation with Apollo, she changed her clothes and left for work.

Chester had the want to buy a baby toy, so I got this playmat thing for little Celeste. I've never used these Store items before, so let's see how it goes.

Chester then began to teach Claire how to talk, while Cindy turned her attention to the teddy bear, now that Cosmo wasn't there to lay claim to it.

Oh lovely, Celeste loves the dangly things!

As soon as Claire learned how to talk, the twins switched positions.

And then Cosmo came back, but he had other things in mind other than his property.

Cosmo: "Oh rats, I wanted an A+!"

Cosmo: "I better start working immediately."

He is definitely determined.

Grace came back...

...just as the homework and the talking lesson were completed.

And finally, Grace was able to take Cosmo shopping for clothes.

The chosen spot for this was C.J. Peggey's, a very popular spot at Bigg City.

Because Cosmo was wearing a bathrobe instead of PJs or underwear, Grace decided to go on a little spree.

Voilá! I think this futuristic-esque outfit works well for a green-skinned boy.

Cosmo was very happy, and very thankful to Mama.

They returned home shortly after, and once it was bedtime Cosmo was delighted to change to his new PJs. Since his outerwear is pink, I decided to go for that colour here as well - I think it suits his skintone very nicely.

The girls were also fast asleep very soon.

Guys? What do you think you're doing?

No no no, don't you dare. You've got four kids already. That's enough, wouldn't you think? Guys?

...guys?

Oh. No chimes this time. Thank heavens!

Anyway, that's all for now. See you next time!
