I'm reading a Fifth Doctor novel (Goth Opera by Paul Cornell), and I couldn't help but giggle when Fivey at some point jumped through a window shouting "Geronimo!"

Ah, foresight. You can be such fun sometimes.



ETA: And now I've moved on to the Terminus novelization, and I'm highly amused that Tegan thinks of Turlough as "the Brat." Speaks a lot about their early relationship.

Well, keep in mind that I was 10 at the time...

I thought they realized that they had made an AWFUL mistake when they replaced the Fourth Doctor (at that time to me the *only* Doctor) with that young blonde loser (ie Davison), and were going to kill him off to bring back Tom Baker. I was very disappointed in Turlough's lack of results. :D

Of course, as a grown woman, I can certainly appreciate Five's appeal (insert eyebrow-waggle here), but as a child I really disliked him. It's actually a wonder that I continued to watch right after Four left the show...

That makes a lot of sense for a ten-year-old, actually, especially one that was shocked to witness their Doctor leave. My ten-year-olds started crying when they reached the end of Logopolis, but being... well, you know... the tears vanished as soon as they saw Peter Davison and started squeeing "But he's so PRETTY!!!" By Castrovalva they were blowing kisses to the TV screen. *sighs*
